In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the TV anime "Digimon Adventure," we are releasing the "DigiVice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION- DX Set Taichi Yagami Color," an evolved version of the "DigiVice" released in 1999, featuring updates such as a color LCD screen.
The main body color lineup includes three variations: "DigiVice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION-" and "DigiVice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION- DX Set (Taichi Yagami Color / Yamato Ishida Color)." The appearance of the "DigiVice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION- DX Set Taichi Yagami Color" is based on the body color of the toy "DigiVice," released in July 1999. While maintaining this base color scheme, additional paint has been applied to the engraved digital characters surrounding the LCD screen, enhancing the detailing.
The exterior design is based on the shape of the 1999 release, with new designs incorporating a color LCD screen, rechargeable battery, and features such as full-color LED and a built-in vibration motor without compromising its size. The LCD screen, a first for the "Digimon Adventure" series, allows for character and background colors, providing immersive backgrounds that vary by area. Throughout the adventure, not only Digimon but also the "chosen children" will appear. Additionally, with the built-in rechargeable battery, you can play by charging with the included charging cable, which is compatible with USB Type-C. (Note: Charging requires a USB port such as a computer.)
In this product, players can select a Digimon partner and relive the story of "Digimon Adventure" by embarking on an adventure in the vast digital world as one of the "chosen children." Throughout the adventure, the TV size version of "Butter-Fly" will play as background music, and players can also listen to newly recorded voices of partner Digimon with button inputs. Furthermore, boss Digimon corresponding to the story will appear. Battle gameplay has also been significantly updated, with the battle method determined from three types: "rapid tapping," "shaking," and "pressing designated buttons." During the evolution sequence in battles, anime-like visuals will be displayed, "brave heart (TV size)" will play, and players can enjoy dynamic evolution effects such as the illumination of the built-in full-color LED and vibration.
Regarding the included songs and voices, a play mode is also included where players can play songs and voices. It is also possible to play character lines while playing music.
Additionally, in the "camp screen," players can eat meals, gather around a bonfire, and interact with partner Digimon at any time, allowing them to see various scenes of partner Digimon. A collection function is also included where players can check the Digimon that have become their allies during the adventure. Furthermore, familiar communication functions are also included. The "Tag" is a pendant that the protagonists always wore, and the "Crest" is an item that can evolve partner Digimon by combining it with the "Tag." By attaching the included chain to the "Tag," it can also be worn. The back of the "Tag" is engraved with the 25th-anniversary logo of the "Digimon Animation Series."
