About This Item
A collaboration item with Noritake, a long-established ceramics company
We want to make white, beautiful, and exquisite Western tableware in Japan.
began when Morimura Ichizaemon, who exported Japanese antiques and miscellaneous goods at the trading company Morimura Gumi, and others saw the beautiful white European porcelain through their business and made a firm vow in their hearts.
In 1904, the company founded Nippon Toki Gomei Kaisha (Noritake). They built a modern factory and began researching the manufacture of Western tableware. After much trial and error, they succeeded in manufacturing Japan's first dinner set in 1914.
It was exported mainly to the United States and was well received, and eventually became known worldwide under the name Noritake China.
Since then, Noritake ceramics have been loved all over the world for their delicate designs and dignity born from Japanese aesthetics.
