Product Description
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the TV anime "Digimon Adventure 02," we are releasing the "D-3 DIGIMON DETECT & DISCOVER -25th COLOR EVOLUTION-," an updated version of the "D-3" originally released in 2000, now featuring a color LCD screen and other enhancements.
The device comes in three color variations. The standalone version, "D-3 DIGIMON DETECT & DISCOVER -25th COLOR EVOLUTION- Daisuke Motomiya Color / Ken Ichijouji Color," is based on the original "D-3" toy released in June 2000, but with added glitter molding for a more luxurious design.
The exterior design is based on the original 2000 model but has been newly redesigned to include a color LCD screen, rechargeable battery, and a built-in vibration motor, all without compromising the original size. The color LCD screen not only brings the characters to life in color but also features vibrant backgrounds that change depending on the area, enhancing the immersive experience.
During the adventure, not only Digimon but also the "Chosen Children" will appear. Additionally, characters like "Taichi and the others as middle school students," the "Digimon Kaiser," "Archnemon," "Mummymon," and "Yukio Oikawa" will also make appearances.
The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery, which can be charged using the included USB Type-C cable.
※A USB port on a computer or similar device is required for charging.
In this product, players can choose their partner Digimon and become a "Chosen Child," embarking on an adventure through the vast Digital World and the real world to relive the story of "Digimon Adventure 02." The iconic Digital Gate sequence from "Digimon Adventure 02" is also included.
During the adventure, the BGM "Target ~Akai Shougeki~ (TV Size)" will play, and players can hear newly recorded voice lines from their partner Digimon by pressing buttons. Over 120 Digimon, including partner Digimon, are featured, along with boss Digimon that appear as part of the story.
Battles are determined by three methods: "button mashing," "shaking," and "pressing specific buttons." During evolution sequences, animations reminiscent of the anime will play, accompanied by music and vibrations from the built-in motor. Players can enjoy various evolution types, including "Armor Evolution," "DNA Digivolution," and "Mode Change," with dynamic evolution sequences.
By training and accumulating Digimental Search Points, players can perform Digimental Searches, which feature search screen effects inspired by the anime. This feature allows players to search for Digimental fragments needed for "Armor Evolution."
In addition to the adventure mode, the device also includes a play mode where players can listen to music and voice lines. Players can even play music while listening to character dialogue. Over 250 voice lines are included, featuring newly recorded voices by the original cast of the "Chosen Children" and their partner Digimon.
※Newly recorded voice lines by Hiroaki Hirata are not included.
※The audio includes newly recorded voice lines exclusive to this product, as well as some voice lines from "Digivice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION-," "Super Complete Selection Animation D-3," and "Complete Selection Animation Digivice 1999."
Additionally, the "Picnic Screen" allows players to interact with their partner Digimon by eating meals or sitting around a campfire, offering various scenes with their partner Digimon. The device also includes a collection feature that lets players check the Digimon they've befriended during their adventure.
